I would like to put into words a specific spiritual experience that represents both the end of a long progression and the start of a new phase. This expérience is of an undeniably personal and individual nature and as such I feel no need to recount it. Besides, the words do not spring to mind and if they were to, I wonder to whom I might tell it. Who indeed could share an experience of this kind without having lived it ? It would be like an adult trying to explain to a curious child the nature of physical love between a man and a woman. And yet, llumination is a rather banal or inevitable experience for the human race : it can be analyzed as a process of growth for the soul. In that sense it is a universal experience that concerns us all. And so if I speak of myself, it is not as an exhibitionist. Through one’s self, one is drawn toward the experience of the Self, of you and … of me !”
